Structure
How the degree is built
The first four semesters are common to everyone. Specialisation begins in semester five, after you have tried both fields.
Year 1
Foundations
Programming, discrete mathematics, data structures and digital logic. You learn to think like an engineer.
Year 2
Core systems
Databases, operating systems, networks, software engineering, artificial intelligence and data mining.
Year 3
Track and studio
Track electives, machine learning or automated testing, and a semester-long project studio.
Year 4
Internship and thesis
A four-credit industry internship, community service, then a final project defended before a panel.
